Five Puerto Rico resorts have been included in the list of ‘100 Most Popular Meeting Resorts’ in North America and the Caribbean published by Cvent, one of the world’s largest cloud-based marketplaces for group meetings business.

Puerto Rico Convention Bureau members Caribe Hilton; El Conquistador, A Waldorf Astoria Resort; Gran Meliá Golf Resort Puerto Rico; Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa; and The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan made the list that included more than 3,500 qualifying properties in North America and the Caribbean from the Cvent Supplier Network.

“This recognition of our member-hotels speaks volumes about the level of product available in Puerto Rico to serve the meetings market,” said PRCB President Milton Segarra. “Puerto Rico’s resorts are sophisticated, luxurious and offer state-of-the-art meeting spaces and conference facilities for the group market.”

Properties were qualified based on a combination of quantitative metrics and third party review scores, which included amenities, meeting space and number of meeting rooms, number of guest rooms and volume of meetings and room nights booked. Selection was based on market share by metro area, volume of business, consumer ratings and amenities offered.

“We’re thrilled what this says about the destination’s portfolio of property offerings and we congratulate our partners for their positive contribution to the destination’s image in the meetings marketplace,” Segarra said.

All of the properties on the Cvent list feature luxuries such as spas, on-site restaurants, health clubs, concierge services and outdoor pools. Some resorts also offered more unique, entertainment-oriented amenities like water parks, casinos and golf courses.
