Applebee’s honoring military with free Vets Day dinner

Applebee’s has restaurants in Plaza Las Américas, Mayagüez and Dorado.

Applebee’s in Puerto Rico is inviting veterans and active military personnel to a free meal on Veterans Day this Sunday at its Plaza Las Américas, Mayagüez and Dorado restaurants.

That day, the honored men and women will be able to select from a variety of entrees, namely, the seven-ounce “House Sirloin,” the “Fiesta Lime Chicken,” the “Bacon Cheeseburger,” the “Three Cheese Chicken Penne,” the “Chicken Tenders Platter,” the “Oriental Chicken Salad”; or the “Double Crunch Shrimp.”

“It’s an honor to recognize our soldiers and veterans. Veterans and active soldiers have served us well, and we’re proud to serve them,” said Efraín Reverón, president of Applebee’s franchisee Apple Caribe Inc. “In gratitude and admiration, we invite them to dinner in our restaurants.”

Veterans or active military staff will have to present their current military I.D. to benefit from the invitation, company officials said.
