Claro adds channels, DVR Scheduler to IPTV service

Telecommunications provider Claro recently announced the addition of 22 new high-definition channels and services to its IPTV paid television platform, launched commercially earlier this year.

The new HD channels include options for sports, history, entertainment, science, kids and movies. In total Claro TV offers 223 television channels and 44 audio stations, as well as video on demand.

The list of new HD channels and their location within the lineup is as follows: One Caribbean Weather HD (1014); Destination America HD (1546); HUB HD (1065); The Military Channel HD (1597); Sprout HD (1085); NBC Sports HD (1612); FX HD (1100); FOX Sports 1 HD (1616); SYFY HD (1105); FOX Deportes HD (1620); A&E HD (1110); Tennis Channel HD (1640); Oxygen HD (1185); Outdoor Channel HD (1645); Entertainment HD (E!) (1200); CNBC HD (1725); Bravo HD (1215); MSNBC HD (1730); Investigation Discovery HD (1510); Starz Kids & Family (1829); Biography Channel HD (1545); and Starz Cinema HD (1830).

Meanwhile, Claro also announced the availability of the DVR Scheduler, a free web-based application that allows users to gain remote access to their DVR through a computer, so they can review their programmed content, as well as add or modify recordings.

Claro’s IPTV service is available in 34 municipalities, company officials confirmed.
