Dozens of local and international companies will host a job fair on Mar. 7 to recruit engineers and surveyors for hundreds of available jobs, the College of Engineers and Land Surveyors announced Monday.

“We’re once again conducting this job fair, which is always successful and opens many doors for our professionals. It always exceeds our expectations and we expect the same this year,” said Edgar I. Rodríguez-Pérez, president of the trade group known as the CIAPR for its initials in Spanish.

The job fair will be held at the trade group’s Hato Rey headquarters, at 500 Antolín Nín Street, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Government agencies with available jobs will also attend the event.

“For us it is important to help our members in finding work on our island and offer alternatives for the growth of their profession, including the possibility of entrepreneurship,” he said.

The event is free of charge and attendees must bring copies of their current resumes. For more information, call 787-758-2250.
