Local technology firm Fusionworks recently became the first company in Latin America to be recognized by the multinational software firm SAP with the “Recognized Expertise in Business Intelligence” award.

“This accreditation reinforces the leadership position toward which Fusionworks has worked with our team in the knowledge of SAP Business Intelligence. This achievement is granted only to SAP partners with a level of proven expertise in this field. This new accreditation means that Fusionworks be on the SAP Partner Directory with globally recognized expertise,” said Jorge Mejía, director and co-founder of Fusionworks.

This is the first time that a Latin American company receives this award, he said.

“This makes it more meaningful to our team and opens doors for Fusionworks and Puerto Rico to become a benchmark in the management of business intelligence, which today is key to any company that wants to achieve global competitiveness”, said Mejía, who is also treasurer of the Puerto Rico IT Cluster and the Puerto Rico Digital Corridor.

“Companies in Puerto Rico do not have to leave their [island] to find suppliers of world-class technology: they will find them in their own backyard,” he added.

Fusionworks specializes in the optimization of operational processes and the customer information used for decision-making. This is complemented with the latest technology and the best human resources, experts in their respective areas of business and technology solutions.
