After hearing many stories of people and businesses that are leaving Puerto Rico to relocate to Florida with no idea of the resources available to them, the Puerto Rico Hispanic Chamber of Broward County will be offering a 3-hour orientation seminar on Sept. 9.

The seminar that will take place at the Sheraton Hotel & Casino in San Juan aims to provide resources available on how to do business in Florida, in a reliable and responsible manner.

Participants will learn how to incorporate and open a business in Florida, find resources and incentives, as well as receive assistance in finding physical office space, or how to run a business virtually.

Information will also be provided on the best locations in Florida to open market and promote a business. This orientation seeks to help those interested in expanding to the southernmost mainland state avoid making costly mistakes in the process, organizers said.
