Rooms to Go and Doral executives meet to finalize the details of the newly minted partnership.

Doral Mortgage and furniture retailer Rooms to Go recently announced a partnership to offer customers special financing offers on loans closed before Nov. 20, 2014.

Through the program, qualifying customers will receive a 10 percent discount on furniture purchased at Rooms to go. Moreover, through their transactions, customers will contribute to the Martín Peña Channel’s “Proyecto Enlace,” enabling one community family to have an area of their house furnished.

“This partnership with Rooms to Go is tied to many efforts we’re conducting that help to continue moving our economy forward,” said Javier Lugo, mortgage products manager for Doral. “Through this type of initiative, we become facilitators of opportunities, helping more people to benefit from this great offer.”

Meanwhile, Bryan Shames, president of Rooms to Go, said the retailer is “pleased to be part of this alliance, and particularly with the commitment of both companies to help more Puerto Rican families have their homes and at the same time furnish and decorate them to their taste. Like Doral Bank, we are proud to impact a family in the Martín Peña Channel community through this great social work they do.”
