Red Mango has opened its second restaurant in Puerto Rico on Américo Miranda Avenue, creating 20 direct jobs and continuing with its plan to open eight local restaurants, plus franchises throughout the island.

The first Red Mango opened in March in Puerto Rico Plaza, near the InterAmerican University in Río Piedras. This location was the first in the world to feature an expanded concept, operating as a café-style restaurant, and has exceeded projected sales by 40 percent, company officials said.

The new store will hold a grand opening celebration July 11th, when the public will be able to sample the menu and try the different yogurt flavors.

“We continue our plans to rapidly expand Red Mango, with the tremendous reception that the first restaurant has experienced. We aim to provide a healthy and natural alternative, 100 percent natural in a market saturated with junk food alternatives, and the consumer has responded to that,” Alverio Domínguez, CEO of Franchise Good for You, LLC, the franchisee for Red Mango in Puerto Rico.

“At our second restaurant on we will also offer our trademark frozen yogurt, our extensive menu of salads, wraps, flatbreads and natural juice bar, all with less than 500 calories,” he said.
