As part of its commitment to educating clients and provide advice beyond investing, UBS Financial Services Inc. of Puerto Rico recently held its most recent “Speaker Series” workshop, featuring high-ranking company officials who shared their insight on financial issues that are locally relevant.

A trio of UBS executives — Michael P. Ryan, chief investment officer and Doug Wilde, head of investment management, and Thomas McLoughlin, managing director, CIO Wealth Management Research — shared their views on a number of issues, such as fixed income market trends, including Puerto Rico securities.

“We are very honored to have the opportunity to bring these speakers to Puerto Rico and have them share their insights and knowledge with our top clients,” said Carlos Ubiñas, CEO of the local UBS unit .

“With this type of events we educate our esteemed clients and bring them the latest trends in the financial sectors in the US, Puerto Rico and globally,” he added, prior to the presentations.

The UBS Speaker Series is an ongoing effort with the objective of discussing key topics of interest to UBS clients, investors and top decision makers. Other UBS Speaker Series conferences have featured economists, local business owners, association and not-for profit organizations.
