Management Group Investors and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc. have signed an agreement to open the first two restaurants at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, through a $1.6 million investment.

The opening of the two stores will generate 40 new jobs, said José Algarín-Pabón, president of MGI. The first store will be ready to open in late December 2016 and the second in the first half of 2017.

“The passion for jambalaya, red beans and rice and other products that make Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen a unique concept was very important factor for MGI to sign this strategic alliance with Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc.,” Algarín said.
