Puerto Rico banks announce July 4th schedules

Puerto Rico’s commercial banks will be observing the July 4th Independence Day celebration holiday with special hours Friday, scheduled as follows:

Banco Popular
Will offer services at 28 branches located inside malls islandwide on July 4th, the bank said.

Branches at San Germán, Plaza del Oeste, Guayama Mall and Vega Alta will open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Branches at the Aguadilla Mall, Barceloneta Outlets, Galería Paseos, Humacao Palma Real, Isabela Mall, Mayagüez Mall Centro, Parque Escorial, Plaza del Caribe, Plaza Fajardo, Plaza Río Hondo, and Yauco Plaza will open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., while branches at Walmart stores in Caguas, Cayey, Manatí, Stop 18 in Santurce, Ponce and Toa Baja will serve the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Branches at Plaza Centro Sur, Canóvanas Outlet, and Las Catalinas will open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., while branches inside Montehiedra, Plaza Carolina, Plaza del Sol, Plaza Las Américas and San Patricio mall will offer services from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Popular Auto will remain closed, while services for Popular Mortgage can be obtained over the phone, at 787-707-7070.

Oriental Bank
Oriental will open 18 branches on July 4th, located at Humacao, Galería del Norte, Santa María, Juana Díaz, Levittown, Mayagüez Mall, San Patricio Plaza, Country Club, Plaza del Caribe, Los Colobos, Plaza Escorial, Plaza Cayey, Plaza del Sol, Plaza Guayama, Las Catalinas Mall, The Outlet en Canóvanas, Plaza Centro Mall in Caguas, and Plaza las Américas.

Oriental Auto will open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to process auto loan applications, while Oriental Direct will be available from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Remaining bank branches, as well as the Oriental Auto Customer Service Center and administrative offices will remain closed.

Santander Puerto Rico
All Santander bank branches, Island Finance locations, Santander Financial, the Mortgage Banking division, Santander Insurance, Santander Securities, Santander Asset Management, and the bank’s headquarters will remain closed Friday.

On Saturday, Santander Puerto Rico will open branches that offer regular services on Saturdays, while all Island Finance locations will operate as usual. The bank’s Plaza Las Américas and Plaza del Caribe branches will offer services from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 6.

Doral Bank
All bank branches, as well as the Teledoral customer service, will remain closed on the 4th of July. Doral customers will be able to conduct transactions through ATMs, the automated Teledoral service at 787-749-7000 or online at www.doralbank.com.

Doral will resume its regular schedules on July 5, when branches will open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

FirstBank
FirstBank will open 10 branches Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mall locations Plaza Las Américas, Plaza Carolina, Las Catalinas, Ponce Centro del Sur, Mayagüez Mall, El Trigal Plaza Manatí, Fajardo, Yauco Plaza and Plaza Guaynabo will remain open on that schedule, while FirstMortgage and FirstBank Insurance will not offer services.

Scotiabank
All bank branches as well as company headquarters will remain closed Friday, while the customer contact center will offer services over the phone at 787-766-4999.
