New retailers opening at Premium Outlets, other malls

Forever 21 will debut its F21 Red concept in Puerto Rico  in late summer/early fall at the outlet mall in Barceloneta.

Puerto Rico Premium Outlets in Barceloneta is adding several new retailers to its tenant mix in coming months, including new market arrival Forever 21 Red, the clothing company’s lower-priced sister.

Other tenants opening at the mall are Finish Line, Perfumes 4U, and The Zone, mall officials said.

“At the Puerto Rico Premium Outlets, we’re continuously working to provide customers a wide and varied range of shops to meet their particular needs,” said Elizabeth Lopez, director of marketing and new business development for the outlet mall.

“Our new range of shops includes renowned brands ranging from clothing and footwear to entertainment, offering alternatives to all groups who visit us, both locals and tourists,” she said, adding the opening of the four new stores will help create about 100 new jobs.

The first store to open — this Wednesday — will be Finish Line, a footwear, apparel and accessories retailer that will occupy 3,950 square feet of retail space.

Perfumes 4U and The Zone are expected to open June 1, taking up 1,246 square feet and 3,125 square feet, respectively. The latter will run a family entertainment space featuring video games and a glow-in-the-dark mini golf.

Finally, Forever 21 will debut its F21 Red concept in Puerto Rico in late summer/early fall to offer a selection of the staples Forever 21, 21Men, Forever 21+ and Forever 21 Girls is known for carrying, at lower prices. The first F21 Red store opened in California in May 2014.

This media outlet confirmed the retailer plans to open another Forever 21 store at the Las Catalinas mall in Caguas, where it will take up 13,733 square feet of space.

Giuseppe Zanotti opens 1st Puerto Rico store
In related news, luxury Italian shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti opend its first boutique at The Mall of San Juan Mall, joining the growing lists of tenants at the new shopping center.

The 1,500 square-foot store reflects the spirit of the brand through its interiors, featuring both a refined and urban style. Classic elements like white marble, lacquered wood and brass finishes complement the contemporary furniture and hardware details.

The new store features all of the label’s offerings: from Zanotti’s most sought-after shoes for men and women, to sneakers, jewelry, handbags and ready to wear, the retailer said Monday.
