Sumaq Silver & Jewelry opens Paseo Caribe location

The new 700-square foot store, which entailed a $100,000 investment, offers a collection of .950 silver rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets made in Peru.

Sumaq Silver & Jewelry recently joined the list of establishments that have recently opened their doors at the Paseo Caribe shopping center in San Juan.

The new 700-square foot store, which entailed a $100,000 investment, offers a collection of .950 silver rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets made in Peru. While the business is generating 12 jobs in total, of which three are at the store, company officials said.

“Our jewelry store has a great selection of Peruvian silver in a wide range of styles and prices. Simplicity, quality, and individuality characterize every one of our pieces. Our focus is on design, which highlights the natural beauty of the metal. All pieces are hand-made”, said Marco Perea, owner of Sumaq Silver & Jewelry.

Sumaq also offers the RUMI line, a collection of 18 karat gold plated pieces with semi-precious stones, designed by the store’s owners. These pieces stand out for their attractive colors, versatility, and elegance.

Established in Puerto Rico in 2007, Sumaq Silver & Jewelry sells its products from carts at Galería Los Paseos, San Patricio Plaza, and Plaza del Sol.

The Paseo Caribe store will be open to the public Monday through Saturday from 12 noon to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
