T-Mobile unveils full line of 4G devices

In keeping with plans announced last year to broaden the scope of its 4G service, wireless carrier T-Mobile recently incorporated three new devices into its lineup: the Sidekick 4G, the T-Mobile G2X with Google and the T-Mobile G-Slate with Google tablet.

The new and highly anticipated Sidekick 4G, exclusive to T-Mobile and Samsung Mobile, is the most recent Android-based smart device, designed to pays tribute to its heritage. Among other things, the smartphone features a sliding keyboard, a 3.5-inch touch screen, and a front-facing camera for video chat.

Lyanette Dávila, senior marketing manager for T-Mobile Puerto Rico said: “We’ve reinvented the text messaging experience that made the Sidekick such an iconic device, and we’ve enriched it with Android, 4g speed and communications and entertainment experiences that make the most out of our 4G network.”

Meanwhile, the T-Mobile 2Gx with Google is a phone exclusively from T-Mobile and LG Mobile Phones and is the newest addition to the GSeries line by T-Mobile and Google. This new phone is made for speed and high definition mobile entertainment, with integrated support for 4G speeds and a bright 4-inch HD touch screen. The device comes equipped with an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video chat.

“The T-Mobile G2x with Google offers a unique mobile gaming and HD entertainment experience at 4G speed that customers want and demand to use its unmatched speed and perform simultaneous multitasking, multimedia and functionality never before performed on a mobile phone,” Dávila said.

Beside integrating a full array of games, the T-Mobile G2x with Google is a device based on the Android 2.2 operating system, providing access to more than 150,000 applications available through the Android Market and integration with Google services like Google Voice, Google Voice Actions, Google Goggles, Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps with Places and Navigation, YouTube, Google Talk, Google Earth and more.

Rounding out the trio of recently introduced devices, is the T-Mobile G-Slate with Google, the first tablet available in Puerto Rico with the Android 3.0 operating system. The G-Slate offers an innovative mobile experience, including the ability to record and play videos in 3D and HD video viewed on a bright 8.9-inch, multi-touch, high-definition screen.
