Telcel, Claro among ’14’s ‘Top 500 Most Valuable Brands’

claro telcelAmérica Móvil subsidiaries Claro and Telcel have been included in the “Brandirectory: Top 500 Most Valuable Brand Ranking 2014” list of the 500 most valuable brands worldwide, conducted by the firm Brand Finance.

To conduct the survey, the company followed the Brandirectory Royalty Relief methodology to analyze the strength of the brand, investments, business performance, audience opinions, and the calculation of their current and future income, among other values.

Brand Finance is a globally recognized brand valuation consultancy firm that advises organizations so they can maximize their value through the effective asset management. Their reports have been accepted by various regulatory agencies worldwide.

Telcel is ranked at 332, down from 263 in 2013 and the Claro brand at 397, down from 157 last year.

“We’re proud and pleased to appear in Brand Finance’ Brandirectory, as it means the efforts we make to build international brands like Telcel and Claro through which we provide the best connectivity experience for our users,” said Marcela Velasco, director marketing of América Móvil.
