Claro unveils Cloud Connected for business clients

Telecommunications provider Claro unveiled Thursday MobileIron’s Cloud Connected service, which offers protection and control to any mobile device used within an organization, whether company or employee-owned.
Cloud Connected allows establishing controls on tablets, smartphones or laptops, limiting their use to company business.
“Cloud Connected is a vital tool for any business owner as it helps to control costs and increase productivity. It is one of many initiatives that we are carrying out to help stimulate economic activity on the island,” said Enrique Ortiz de Montellano, president of Claro.
Cloud Connected can predetermine the pages that employees can browse and the phone numbers and SMS with which they can communicate. It also allows controlling the hours and days of use, among other features. Cloud Connected is a cloud-based solution that is easy to configure on any corporate network.
