More than 15 of Puerto Rico’s best restaurants will offer their best holiday creations at different stations, the PRHTA said.

The Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association announced Thursday details of the event through which it will officially welcome the holidays, the “Saborea Puerto Rico Winter Party.”

The event seeks to give continuity to the PRHTA’s efforts to strengthen the island’s standing as the best culinary destination in the Caribbean, trade group President Clarisa Jiménez said.

“We want that the local diner, as well as those who visit us to enjoy our culinary fare in its entire splendor in the same space. That’s why we decided to organize the Saborea Puerto Rico Winter Party,” she said, adding foodies no longer have to wait until April for the Saborea Puerto Rico main event.

“It will be a spectacular night when visitors can enjoy great food and the best drinks in a wonderful ambiance, and what better way to welcome the holidays?” she said.

The Saborea Puerto Rico Winter Party will take place Dec. 6, as of 6:30 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott in Isla Verde.

“Our food is known for its many attributes, which is why we have selected more than 15 of the best restaurants so they can offer their best holiday creations at different stations,” Jiménez noted.

This event will serve as the curtain raiser for the 7th edition of Saborea Puerto Rico, scheduled for April 3-7, 2014.
