Starting this week, all Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport employees, as well as airline crews, will be afforded a 15 percent discount on products purchased at convenience stores operated by the airport’s manager, Aerostar Airport Holdings.

The initiative is part of the operator’s commitment to launch programs that benefit employees and the airport community, said Aerostar CEO Agustín Arellano.

To take advantage of these savings, employees or crew should present their ID as an Aerostar or airline employee at checkout. All personnel working at convenience stores selling snacks, travel goods and souvenirs have already been trained for this new transaction.

Books, newspapers, magazines and cigarettes are except from the discount, Arellano said.

“We are working on several projects for the benefit of all our employees because they are our best resource. They’re the ones who are responsible on a daily basis for all airport operations, including the safety of thousands of passengers and visitors using the facilities,” Arellano said.
