1st AppCircus in P.R. happening jointly with Sacred Heart

appcircusAppCircus, a global event that gives participants the chance to showcase their “apps,” has launched its first call in Puerto Rico in December, in a joint effort with Sacred Heart University in Santurce.

Professional companies and freelance app developers are urged to participate and present their solutions to bigger or smaller needs in areas like healthcare, interactive gaming, urban transport, social media and lifestyle. The deadline to submit participations is Dec. 4th through the AppCircus platform, organizers said Thursday.

A jury of top experts will select 10 finalists that will present their apps during the final event on Dec. 19th at the university. The winner will receive a nomination for the 2016 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the biggest award showcase in the mobile industry.

Appcircus was launched in 2009 and since then they have run over 150 events in over 50 cities in over 30 countries across all five continents. The worldwide app industry represents a very important market with an expected worth of $25 billion this year, according to Markets and Markets.
