Artlet Aviation signs deal with Heli-One to repair aircraft

Arlet Aviation LLC, a Puerto Rican company dedicated to servicing the local and international aviation industry announced Tuesday it has signed an agreement with Heli-One as their representative in the Caribbean area.

Heli-One is a participant in the global aircraft repair and maintenance industry, including helicopters. This company has been granted major certifications at international levels and operates service centers for servicing its main customers like: Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopter, Sikousky, Honeywell, Safran (Turbomeca) and General Electric.

“The confidence shown by Heli-One to Arlet Aviation, which is based at the José Aponte de la Torre airport in Ceiba, could be considered as an excellent achievement for Arlet as a company on its path toward reaching greater development in the aviation industry in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Central and South America,” said Elvin Ortiz, president of Arlet Aviation.

“This represents a major step toward the development of Puerto Rico’s aircraft repair industry, mainly for the Eastern part of the island,” he added.

Arlet Aviation confirmed it has become the company with the highest number of certifications in the aircraft repair industry granted by the Federal Aviation Administration, and also a source of new jobs on the island.
