Puerto Rican company Sabrina Bottling Group is expanding its operations in Luquillo to increase its production of handmade sangria on an industrial scale, company officials, accompanied by Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company representatives, announced Thursday.

As part of the expansion project, Sabrina Bottling Group moved its operations to a space Industrial Development Company in Mata de Platano Industrial Park in Luquillo. With a private investment of approximately $100,000 for business development, the company has already created eight new jobs.

“The success story of this Puerto Rican company is another example of the entrepreneurial spirit of our people and the commitment the economic development team has to promoting different projects that contribute to the island’s recovery,” said PRIDCO Executive Director Antonio Medina-Comas.

Founded in 2010, Sabrina Bottling Group produces, bottles and markets craft sangria products in Puerto Rico. Its main products, Sabrina Sangria and Sabrina Sangria White, are made with red and white wines respectively, tropical fruits and a selection of distilled spirits.

“Our company is the first and only in Puerto Rico’s eastern area dedicated to the manufacture, sale, distribution and marketing of handcrafted sangrias. With this project we have created direct jobs and boost the economy through our products and services in the food and beverage industry,” said Noel Maisonet, Operations Manager at Sabrina Bottling Group.

Meanwhile, Medina-Comas noted that the food and beverage sector is one in which the island’s manufacturing base can grow to meet both the demand for local products, as well as that generated in other markets.

“We know that companies like Sabrina Bottling Group will continue to flourish and grow in our industrial ecosystem, contributing to Puerto Ricos economic development,” Medina-Comas said.

    Hola,
