Claro and Motorola announced Wednesday the availability of the new Moto G by Motorola, featuring the Android 4.3, Jelly Bean OS with a guaranteed KitKat Android 4.4 update in 2014.

The Moto G is specially developed for consumers who want a price-conscious mobile device with all of Google’s applications such as Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps, Chrome and Hangouts, which can be handled quickly thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU.

“The arrival of Moto G to Claro responds to the market, which increasingly requests affordable smartphones that offer the full mobile Internet experience,” said Claro President Enrique Ortiz de Montellano. “This is a truly outstanding device and we have no doubt that it will have a great acceptance among our customers.”

The Moto G features a 4.5-inch high-definition diagonal screen that allows users to fully enjoy movies, photos, video chats and more. This device has two cameras: one in front and one in the rear, and taking HD pictures and videos is easy, and can be done by touching anywhere on the screen. In terms of design, the Moto G has a curved back section for better comfort and grip.

The Moto G with 8GB of storage is available for free on plans starting at $29.99, with a two-year contract a month or $99.99 to activate a no-contract plan at $49.99 or more a month.
