U.S. colleges to offer public health leadership program

IMPACTIVO, LLC, a social impact consulting firm, announced Tuesday the opening of the “Advanced Public Health Leadership Program” of the U.S. Health Department’s Region II Public Health Training Center.

The Training Center is comprised of professionals from prestigious stateside universities including: Columbia University, Rutgers School Office of Public Health, University of the U.S. Virgin Islands’ Permanent Learning Center, Association of Health Officials of New York County, and in Puerto Rico is represented by IMPACTIVO Consulting.

The Center’s mission is to enhance the capacity of public health professionals to effectively deliver the Essential Public Health Services to populations in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the USVI.

“This program is an excellent opportunity for public health professionals to be able to successfully develop skills and abilities in an industry that is constantly changing,” said María Fernanda Levis, President of IMPACTIVO Consulting.

The programmed agenda will also address issues and disciplines that include: Public Health practice; Administration; and the development of Public Policy.

The Advanced Public Health Leadership Training, Is a leadership development program that aims to increase the capacity of participants to sustain the demands and strengthen their ability to successfully exercise leadership and authority, despite the health crisis.

The program will begin April 26 and will run for five weeks every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants must register by April 7, as here are only 40 spaces available.
