CPAs hosting accounting and auditing symposium

CPA LOGO FINALThe Puerto Rico Society of CPAs will be hosting a symposium on the newest accounting, auditing and internal control standards and findings, as well as other key topics for the profession on June 14, at the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza.

The topics to be discussed are: auditing standards already in place; fraud and professional judgment, a case study, audit considerations in an uncertain economy, the five major findings of peer review and what the relevant standards are, and foreseeable standards changes.

The CPAs who will participate as instructors are: CPA Nelly Vázquez, partner at Kreston TLSR, LLC; CPA Eduardo González-Green, partner at Aquino, De Córdova, Alfaro & Co., LLP; CPA Alex Rodríguez-López, executive director of Ernst & Young; CPA Luis Martínez-Renta, partner at Zayas Morazzani & Co.; and CPA Juan M. García-Merced, of Becker Professional Education.
