10th edition of ‘Best Employers’ survey underway

mejores patronos logoIt is a fact that the success of a responsible company depends on its ability to transform to create a workforce committed to the organizations’ goals and projections. The Puerto Rico “Best Employers” study helps identify and acknowledge companies excelling in creating a healthy workplace while achieving their business goals. By combining these and other attributes, companies on this list become benchmarks for their industries.

With that in mind, consulting and outsourcing firm Aon Hewitt and El Nuevo Día are summoning the island’s business community to participate in the survey’s 10th edition.

“The companies involved in the study benefit greatly as they gain information about the best human resources practices, get to measure and understand the level of commitment of their employees, gives them the opportunity to establish a market comparison or ‘benchmark’, and very importantly, it serves as a tool to identify areas of opportunity within the company,” said Vanessa Rodríguez, head of talent and compensation consulting for Aon Hewitt.

To be eligible to participate in the survey, companies must have been in business for at least three years, must be registered at the State Department, and have a minimum of 65 employees. There is an $800 fee and participating companies will receive a report summarizing their results including a comparison with the results of the “Best Employers.”

Interested companies will have a chance to participate in an orientation session at 8:30 this morning at the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association’s Guaynabo headquarters to discuss the survey’s methodology and the participation process.
