2 local tech companies win top Microsoft Corp. honors
Two local companies beat out about 3,000 competitors around the world to nab the distinction of being named Microsoft Partners of the Year, the software giant announced Wednesday.
Nagnoi Inc., founded in 2002, specializes in delivering performance analytics and business intelligence, process optimization and automation, and customer relationship management services beat out two stateside companies to nab the “Business Intelligence Partner of the Year” distinction from Microsoft Corp.
Meanwhile, Rock Solid Technologies Inc. beat out a company from the United Kingdom and another from the U.S. mainland to grab the Microsoft Dynamics Public Sector Partner of the Year award. Since 1997, Rock Solid has been providing IT consulting services, design, development, implementation and support of custom-made software applications, as well as implementation of Microsoft Dynamics Business Solutions to public and private sector companies in Puerto Rico and abroad.
This is not the first go-around for either company at the Microsoft awards circuit. Last year, both took awards for their performance in the Latin American region — Nagnoi won Country Partner of the Year, while Rock Solid won the Microsoft Dynamics Partner of the Year award.

Award winners and finalists, chosen from nominations from around the world, will be recognized at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2011, the company’s annual event for industry partners, slated to take place July 10–14 in Los Angeles.
