Allied Car & Truck Rental investing $9M in expansion

Allied Car & Truck Rental is headquartered in the Isla Verde sector of Carolina, and has locations islandwide.

Allied Car & Truck Rental is marking its 30th anniversary by investing $9 million to double its presence in Puerto Rico over the next two years, as well as establish branches outside the island, company officials said Monday.

The Puerto Rican vehicle rental company established in 1983 currently has 10 locations throughout the island and plans to open new branches that will create 40 direct jobs. The first location to open will be in Dorado, said Rhamses Carazo, company president.

“During the past 29 years we have had to evolve, changing the way we do business so that we can offer a more complete and personalized service to our clients while maintaining the most affordable prices when renting a car,” Carazo said. “For us, it’s not just about renting a car or truck, it’s about being the customer’s ally in this process.”

To strengthen its team and meet its business strategies, the company named Héctor Vargas, as operations manager and Wilson González, as daily rentals manager.

“We’re extremely excited about the changes we have made and the goals we want to accomplish,” Carazo said. “Undoubtedly, the appointment of these two outstanding professionals will facilitate the development path we’re pursuing.”

Allied Car & Truck Rental has a fleet of more than 1,000 units, 10 locations around the island, 27 service centers and 24-hour-a-day road service. In addition, the company currently serves more than 150 corporate accounts, executives said.
