Automakers exhibit lineups at Puerto Rico Auto Show
The 2013 Ford Fusion is on display at Plaza las Américas.
A number of automakers will be displaying their new products and innovations during this week’s Puerto Rico International Auto Show taking place at the Plaza las Américas mall in Hato Rey. Ford is one of them with a seven-model exhibit including the redesigned 2013 Fusion.
“With a sophisticated silhouette, the Fusion is the last one in a series of Ford vehicles —following the subcompact 2011 Fiesta and 2012 Focus — developed to satisfy clients’ needs when looking for fuel efficiency, high-end technologies and a style that changes the rules,” the company said in a statement released Monday.
Various interactive stations and unique presentations will accompany the car lineup that includes the Fusion, which the automaker said represents the “next generation of dynamic vehicles and is the first sedan to offer gasoline, hybrid and plug-in versions.”
Lexus has several models parked at the mall’s main atrium.
Noelle de la Rosa, regional operations manager for Ford Puerto Rico, said in recent years, local and global consumers have demonstrated a clear tendency toward cars that have accessible technology and can make their lives easier. Taking that into consideration, Ford has integrated features into several of its newer vehicles, including the “SYNC with MyFord Touch” voice control option and the EcoBoost fuel efficiency system.
Meanwhile, Toyota also rolled out several of the newest models available under its Lexus (GS, ES, IS-F and RX hybrid) and Scion (xB, FR-S and iQ) product porfolios.
The Puerto Rico International Auto Show ends Nov. 4.
