Boston Scientific launches program to support Puerto Rico’s entrepreneurs
Boston Scientific has partnered with The Growth Coach Puerto Rico to create a program to support local entrepreneurs called the Strategic Business Owner Program that seeks to give entrepreneurs the chance to learn and implement strategies to expand their businesses.
Furthermore, the program seeks to help participants gain access to tools “to optimize their companies, be more proactive and reach their full potential,” executives said.
The organizers have opened a call to receive applications through Oct. 16, 2020. The program will run from Oct. 21 to June 2, 2021.
“One of our priorities as a company is the development of our employees. It is through The Growth Coach Puerto Rico that we started developing the ‘Strategic Manager’ program, which focuses on providing tools to our managers to be more strategic, focused and efficient in their role,” said Aleck de Jesús, training & development specialist at Boston Scientific Dorado.
“We decided to expand this program to local entrepreneurs and provide them with useful tools for their success as a company,” he said.
The Strategic Business Program has 12 slots available open to local entrepreneurs meeting the following criteria:
- Be a company registered in Puerto Rico;
- Be in business for two or more years;
- Have three or more employees (including part-time, under contract and outsourced employees);
- The participant must be the owner of the company; and,
- Make the commitment to participate in all program meetings.
