ConPRmetidos informa de 25 nuevos puestos de trabajo en Puerto Rico

ConPRmetidos has released its 2025 Impact Report, detailing gains in job placement, professional development and early workforce engagement through its two main initiatives, El Comeback and Futuro con PR.

The nonprofit focuses on strengthening Puerto Rico’s labor force by connecting employers with qualified talent and supporting career development from high school through midcareer stages.

“At the root of nearly every challenge Puerto Rico faces is education and access to opportunity,” said Isabel Rullán, executive director of ConPRmetidos.

“Through El Comeback and Futuro con PR, we are building real pathways — connecting people to quality jobs, exposing young people to careers they didn’t know were possible and strengthening the durable skills our workforce needs to compete and thrive,” she said.

El Comeback, the organization’s professional placement initiative, continues to serve as a link between employers and experienced workers on the island and within the Puerto Rican diaspora. In 2025, the program added 2,400 candidates to its talent pool, helping employers fill positions across multiple industries.

During the year, El Comeback facilitated 604 candidate referrals, supported 91 interviews and resulted in 22 job placements. Since its launch, the initiative has connected employers with 73 hires, generating an estimated $4.3 million in annual salaries. The program now includes a network of about 9,400 professionals and 80 employer partners.

The organization’s second initiative, Futuro con PR, focuses on earlier stages of workforce development by working with public high school students. The program introduces students to high-growth career paths while building skills such as communication, collaboration, adaptability and critical thinking.

In 2025, the program served students at Inés María Mendoza High School and Dr. Arturo Morales Carrión High School in San Juan. Participants completed more than 50 hours of programming supported by 33 volunteers.

According to the report, the program achieved an overall retention rate of 83%. Sessions focused on durable skills recorded a 73% participation rate, while 85% of students in the creative industries track and 82% in the technology track completed the program.

Survey results showed that 93% of participating students reported greater clarity about their future plans, and 90% said they were considering career paths they had not previously explored.

Together, the two initiatives form what ConPRmetidos describes as an end-to-end talent development pipeline, designed to support students, early-career professionals and experienced workers while helping employers address persistent workforce needs in Puerto Rico.
