La CUD y la CIAPR firman un pacto para impulsar la economía y las infraestructuras

Ramón C. Barquín, presidente de la Asociación de Comerciantes Unidos de Puerto Rico, conocida por sus siglas en español, CUD.

The United Retailers Association (CUD, in Spanish) and the College of Engineers and Land Surveyors of Puerto Rico (CIAPR, in Spanish) have signed a collaborative agreement to promote joint projects, training and initiatives that support business development and infrastructure planning on the island.

CUD President Ramón C. Barquín and CIAPR President Carlos Fournier signed the agreement, which calls for regular meetings, participation in forums and cooperation in activities designed to foster innovation, competitiveness and equal opportunities across both sectors.

“This agreement reaffirms the CUD’s commitment to continue building bridges of collaboration with organizations, such as the College of Engineers and Surveyors, that are key to Puerto Rico’s development,” Barquín said. “Strengthening infrastructure and technical planning are just as important as supporting retailers. With this effort, we combine experience, vision and commitment for the benefit of our small and midsize enterprises and the entire island

Fournier said the partnership will allow the CIAPR to contribute its expertise to strategic projects that drive economic growth.

“The College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico plays a fundamental role in ensuring the safe and sustainable development of our infrastructure. This agreement with the CUD allows us to work hand in hand with the business sector, support the training of our professionals and contribute to strengthening the local economy,” he said.

With the agreement, CUD expands its network of alliances to offer its more than 5,000 members opportunities for training, collaboration and participation in projects that contribute to Puerto Rico’s sustainable development.
