Economist to discuss P.R.’s ‘economy of uncertainty’

Seeking to contribute to the discussion and the search for solutions to the problems the island is facing, the College of Architects and Landscape Architects of Puerto Rico will host a lecture entitled “Puerto Rico before the economy of uncertainty,” by economist Francisco Catalá
The talk aims to present a number of possible courses of action, in which “it is imperative to link the financial sector with other economic sectors to have a thorough understanding of problem and its solution,” said Catalá.
Catalá said the public discussion on Puerto Rico’s debt is based on the premise that it is divorced from the world of production and work. However, as part of the analysis, he said it is impossible to avoid political constraints and the long history of lost or misused resources.
