flyExclusive expands reach to Puerto Rico with amphibious plane service

The Amphibious Caravan will allow landings on beaches, waterfront properties and remote islands without traditional runways.

Florida-based private aviation company flyExclusive has launched a new charter service that includes amphibious and land-based Cessna Caravan flights connecting Puerto Rico with other destinations in the Caribbean.

The service, which offers both land-based Caravans and amphibious float planes, begins operating this month out of Miami’s Tamiami Airport. Planned routes include Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic.

In mid-July, flyExclusive will add an amphibious Caravan capable of landing at designated water sites to provide direct access to Puerto Rico’s coastal areas and waterfront properties without requiring runways.

“With the launch of our new amphibious float plane and land-based Caravan, we’re expanding our ability to connect travelers to the most sought-after island destinations in the region,” the company said.

The service accommodates up to eight passengers and can access destinations such as private beaches and remote islands throughout the Caribbean.

The launch follows a similar announcement by UrbanLink Air Mobility, which plans to begin seaplane operations from Puerto Rico later this year. Together, the two services represent a growing market for private and semiprivate air connectivity in the region.

flyExclusive said the new offering complements its existing portfolio of fractional jet ownership, Jet Club memberships and charter services. The addition of short-haul and amphibious flights is intended to meet customer demand for more direct regional access.

“Members and guests can now reach exclusive destinations across South Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribbean with unmatched ease,” the company said.
