Automaker Ford announced Tuesday it is offering its new Extended Service Plan as an added perk with the purchase of a new Focus, Fiesta or Fusion through June 2, 2013. The plan covers eight maintenance visits and part replacement for three years, or 36,000 miles.

This service is the only one fully supported by the blue-oval company, thus guarantees the use of real Ford and Motorcraft parts and services. The plan covers visits for oil and filter change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection.

Additionally, during the plan’s coverage period, vehicle owners may replace up to six specific parts — brake pads, spark plugs, wipers, clutch discs, motor belts and shock absorbers — if the dealership finds it necessary upon inspecting wear and tear.

“The Extended Service Plan allows consumers to get more value for their money and the guarantee that when they take their vehicle to any of our nine dealerships, only a Ford-certified technician will work on the vehicle and use genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts,” emphasized Jeff Gorrall, regional parts and service manager for Ford in the Caribbean and Central America. “All of this is part of our brand promise for our clients.”

Each vehicle has exclusive maintenance needs, so the service plan offer will depend on the auto’s maintenance guide and recommendations from Ford-certified technicians. The combination of this plan with a “bumper-to-bumper” manufacturer warranty provides Ford owners the peace of mind of not having maintenance or reparation fees for the first three years or 36,000 miles of owning their car.
