Putnam Bridge Funding donates $950K to nonprofits
“El Colaboratorio” is located on Antonsanti Street in Santurce, and is slated to open by year’s end.
Putnam Bridge Funding recently donated $950,000 to Foundation for Puerto Rico to pave the way for the construction of a collaborative space in Santurce, to accommodate several nonprofit organizations whose mission is to boost socioeconomic development.
Foundation for Puerto Rico has been working with Putnam Bridge for several months on the development of this space, called “El Colaboratorio.”
“We are grateful to Putnam Bridge for believing in our project and, more importantly, on the potential of Puerto Rico,” said Jon Borschow, chairman of the Foundation’s board. “This sponsorship has gone to the design and development of the interior space, allowing us to outfit 8,700 square feet with innovative technology that enables control of ventilation and lighting to maximize the use of natural light and reduce energy consumption.”
“This project will create a modern and innovative space built to facilitate collaboration and supply other organizations all the infrastructure, technology and resources needed to successfully operate a social enterprise,” he said.
“El Colaboratorio” is located on Antonsanti Street in Santurce, and can accommodate some 70 peple in more than nine meeting rooms, more than 50 assigned work spaces, 30 interactive desks and other open areas. The goal is to allow the participating nonprofits to exchange ideas and “share their passion for Puerto Rico’s future development.”
It is slated to open by year’s end, the Foundation said.
