Pharma Industry Assoc. hosting 12th annual meeting
“The biopharmaceutical industry is an important backbone for Puerto Rico’s socio-economic development,” says PIA President Camilo Gómez.
The Pharmaceutical Industry Association of Puerto Rico and the federal Food and Drug Administration will host the FDA/PIA 12th Regulatory Meeting Thursday at the Ritz-Carlton San Juan, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m, the trade group announced.
Under the “Quality beyond Compliance” banner, the event will present FDA and industry speakers on topics such as regulations of combination products, standardization of quality and compliance metrics, quality culture on key compliance indicators, leadership capabilities, and a human error workshop, among others.
“The biopharmaceutical industry is an important backbone for Puerto Rico’s socio-economic development,” said PIA President Camilo Gómez. “Puerto Rico has transformed itself into a world-class supplier.”
“During the last four decades, Puerto Rico operations have excelled for its level of compliance with the highest quality standards, which translate into a great competitive advantage,” he said.
