Instituto de Banca y Comercio hosting ‘Open House’ this week
The Instituto de Banca y Comercio (IBC) is hosting an “Open House” event for the general public at all of its campus locations on Feb. 24, with free interactive sessions showcasing IBC students in action in some of the most popular degree and training programs, school officials said Tuesday.
The “Open House” event is free to the public and will run from from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day’s agenda includes: career advancement workshops through training, including specialty programs and financial aid available to those who qualify; creative culinary stations and food sampling; a fashion show and stations for free hair and beauty services; massage therapy demonstrations; first aid and other health care resources; economic energy-saving tips; auto technology, from sights to sounds to security; and insights on careers in information technology.
Tours will take place at IBC’s 23 campuses across Puerto Rico, in San Juan, Ponce, Mayagüez, Caguas, Manatí, Cayey, Fajardo, Guayama, Humacao, Arecibo, Carolina, Bayamón, Naranjito, Loíza, Adjuntas, Jayuya, Barranquitas, Moca, Lajas, Aguadilla, Barbosa, and Yauco.
IBC — accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools — offers diplomas and associate’s degrees across a variety of fields, including cosmetology, healthcare, business, information technology, culinary arts and industrial trades.
IBC is a member institution of Eduk Group, which focuses on meeting the needs of Hispanic students and is the largest provider of Spanish language higher education in the United States.
