Travel is meant to be enjoyed. With that in mind, QBE Optima Insurance Company recently announced a new product, QBE Travel Insurance, to provide travelers protection, security and worldwide coverage.

QBE Travel Insurance seeks to become an alternative for travelers to handle unexpected events that may arise when abroad, such as medical conditions, complications from pre-existing diseases or pregnancy and/or lost luggage.

The new product also provides coverage in the event of a trip cancellation and interruption for various reasons, including theft or fire at the client’s home, death, accident or illness of the insured, of any family member or travel companion. The plan is designed for people up to 85 years old.

“Today we introduce our new product. An attractive and novel travel insurance option that positions us as an advanced company that ensures passenger protection,” said Glorimary Arregui manager of accidents and travel at QBE Optima Insurance Company, during the product launch last week.

The policy was developed in response to the rapid growth of tourist traffic associated with vacation and leisure, business, education and sports travel.
