Liberty Puerto Rico added Puerto Rico TV HD and TeleIsla HD to its high definition video lineup. Liberty is the first provider to offer TeleIsla HD in Puerto Rico. In addition, highly requested channel FXX is now available in Liberty’s digital lineup.

Puerto Rico TV HD (local station WIPR) and TeleIsla HD (local station WSTE) are broadcast on channels 206 and 207 respectively. Both are available for customers subscribed to the Español de Primera, Ultimate Plus and High Definition (HD) video bundles.

“This shows Liberty’s commitment to give its customers more digital entertainment options,” said Naji Khoury, president and CEO of Liberty Puerto Rico. “We will continue expanding our HD channel offerings and working on new options that we hope will be to our customer base’s liking.”

Puerto Rico TV HD is operated by the Puerto Rico Corporation for Public Broadcasting and offers quality cultural programming for the family. Part of the Univisión family, Teleisla HD mostly transmits programming from U.S Hispanic broadcasters Univisión and Telefutura.

TeleIsla will transmit 15 first and second round games of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, starting June 12.

Meanwhile, FXX airs on channel 98 in Liberty’s digital lineup and is available for all Ultimate and Ultimate Plus video customers. Owned by Fox, this channel is aimed at men ages 18 to 34 and caries original series, comedies and movies, in addition to other acquired shows. Its original programming slate includes “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “The League” and “Ali G Rezurection.” FXX also offers favorite comedies such as “Arrested Development,” “Freaks & Geeks,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Mad About You,” “Rescue Me” and “Spin City.”
