Liberty launches 30-day network guarantee, Smart Wi-Fi

Liberty Puerto Rico has introduced a new network guarantee and an enhanced version of its Smart Wi-Fi service as part of its “Contigo siempre” (Always with you) promise to customers.

“This marks the launch of a bold new satisfaction guarantee. We’re so confident in our home internet service that we’re giving our new customers the opportunity to get their money back in 30 days if they aren’t satisfied,” said Quique Vivas, chief consumer officer at Liberty.

The guarantee accompanies an upgraded WowFi experience that includes a new router with Smart Wi-Fi technology designed to optimize home wireless connections.

“The capabilities of the new router to optimize the Wi-Fi connection throughout the home with the Smart Wi-Fi technology are amazing,” Vivas said. “We’re very excited about this new technology, and we’re sure that consumers will be too.”

The improved Smart Wi-Fi system delivers faster speeds, stronger signal penetration and increased capacity to support more devices throughout the home. Powered by Plume HomePass, the platform adapts to users’ needs and can be managed through the Liberty Smart Wi-Fi mobile app, which allows customers to control their network directly from their phones.

“With the previous version of WowFi, one pod had to be connected to the router via ethernet, but that is no longer the case,” Vivas said. “The new router has a built-in agent that provides all the advantages of Smart Wi-Fi. If customers need extra coverage throughout the home, they can acquire and install extender pods for seamless signal.”

Liberty said the new router is already available for new internet customers and that most existing users will receive the upgrade by the end of the year.
