Liberty, Para La Naturaleza partner for conservation
As part of its effort to promote nature conservation and include it in its community-based philosophy, Liberty Puerto Rico signed an agreement for with Para La Naturaleza, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve the island’s natural landscapes and motivate citizens to participate in this task as volunteers.
“At Liberty, we share the same philosophy that Para La Naturaleza has to challenge the status quo and set ambitious goals,” Liberty President Naji Khoury said. “We’re very pleased with this partnership as it helps us to leave a positive mark on the communities we serve, while providing us with an additional tool to promote the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our employees.”
In addition to providing the nonprofit with financial contributions — including a $20,000 donation from the proceeds of the provider’s upcoming golf tournament — Liberty will also supports the organization’s mission by promoting among its employees participation in volunteer activities to further the work for nature conservation in its corporate culture. “Natural ecosystems work for all of us, give us the water we use, the food we eat and the air we breathe. Therefore, taking care of nature is everyone’s duty and as volunteers, Liberty employees may do just that, in a very concrete way,” Para La Naturaleza President Fernando Lloveras-San Miguel said.
Liberty will also grant Para La Naturaleza $960,000 in advertising time on its network of channels, airing the campaigns as a public service.
