Luminaria Project to benefit Casa Cuna de San Juan
The Latin American Candle Manufacturers Association, known as ALAFAVE, is co-hosting the event.
The 2016 World Candles Congress & Suppliers Trade Show, jointly sponsored by the National Candle Association and the Latin American Candle Manufacturers Association announced the upcoming Luminaria Project, which will support Casa Cuna de San Juan, an organization that provides safe refuge and a transitional home for abandoned children.
The Luminaria Project, slated for April 4-8 at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar, “will strive to leave a legacy at each city hosting the World Candle Congress by offering the strength and generosity that radiates from the international candle community,” organizers said.
As part of this year’s initiative to make a lasting difference, the team dedicated to the cause has amplified its efforts to collect as many donations as possible, individually and by companies, all united for this philanthropic cause, organizers added.
The event will wrap up with a ceremony honoring Casa Cuna de San Juan’s invaluable work by presenting them with the donation. The ceremony will be held April 5th, when more than 500 registered participants from 35 countries around the world and representatives of the local charity are expected to attend.
This year, $10 of each World Candle Congress registration will go toward supporting the children at Casa Cuna de San Juan.
