Mercedes-Benz unveils new C-Class 2015 models

Mercedes-Benz this week unveiled two C-Class models: C300 4MATIC and the and a C400 4MATIC for the Puerto Rico market, which are currently on display as part of the Puerto Rico International Auto Show at the Plaza las Américas mall in Hato Rey.
The C300 4MATIC features a 2.0L turbocharged direct-injection in-line four-cylinder engine with preliminary power figures of 235 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque, while the C400 4MATIC has a 3.0L turbocharged direct-injection V6 at 329 horsepower and 354 lb.-ft. of torque.
“We are very excited about the arrival of these two models, on which we betting on to solidify our position in the luxury segment and open our brand to new markets,” said Carlos Manuel Quiñones, president and general manager for Garage Isla Verde, which represents Mercedes-Benz in Puerto Rico.
“We will also continue to strengthen the relationship with our clients through a superb quality of service that is already part of our unique selling proposition,” he added.
The new C-Class heralds a new chapter in the Mercedes- Benz success story and sets new standards in the premium mid-range class, the company said.
Among other things, it features a host of new assistance systems that offer heightened safety, while a new suspension, optionally air-sprung, provides for a smooth ride and driving comfort as well as nimble and agile handling.
In terms of appearance the new C-Class adopts a progressive approach with its clear yet emotional design and its high-class interior. Many other innovations and interior touches underscore the sedan’s comfort and sportiness. In all, the perceived quality of the new C-Class feels like an “upgrade to a higher class of travel,” the automaker said.
The new C-Class was presented during a recent event at Garage Isla Verde, where another model – the 2015 GLA – was introduced as part of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family.
