National University College gets Middle States certification

National University College recently received accreditation from the U.S. Middle States Commission on Higher Education, which constitutes a “distinction of the quality of the institution’s academic offerings,” institution President Gloria Baquero during the recent graduation ceremony that granted diplomas to 1,400 students.
“This is a great achievement of our entire university community, which shows our institution’s efforts to ensure continuous academic improvement and puts us in a prominent position before the business world and the community,” said Baquero.
The accreditation opens a window of new opportunities for the university community, as it provides the possibility of external funding through proposals or projects. In addition, it makes it possible for graduates to be admitted to other universities offering degrees.
The graduation ceremony took place at the Puerto Rico Convention Center, where for the first time graduate diplomas were awarded to graduates of the Master of Education program with specialization in Educational Leadership in Distance Education at the Bayamón campus.
The graduation ceremony included special recognitions to students from the Arecibo, Bayamón, Ponce and Río Grande.
