The Plaza Las Américas shopping center in Hato Rey is gearing up to welcome a handful of new tenants slated to open new stores in time for the Christmas season.

Retailers Asics, Campo Marzio, Orogold and Origami Sushi are all putting the final touches on their new permanent establishments, as well as two others — Enoteca de Ballester Hermanos and the Beta Book bookstore — which will open just for the holidays, mall officials said.

Asics will open its first store in Puerto Rico in a 3,200 square-foot space at the mall’s first level, across from Sears Brand Central. Orogold Cosmetics will occupy a 1,000 square-foot space also on the first level, close to JCPenney and Macy’s. Campo Marzio will open on the second level, across from Amado Amado Salon, taking over 866 square feet of retail space. Eatery Origami Sushi will join the mix at the mall’s food court, offering Japanese fare.

Meanwhile, Beta Book will open next week in a 3,000 square-foot space on the first level near Sears, while the Enoteca will move into a 1,000 square-foot location on the first level close to JCPenney, mall officials said.

“We continue to expand the range of products and brands at the mall to meet the demands of our clients with concepts that, for the most part, are unique in the market,” said Rafael Ruiz-Comas, the mall’s leasing director.

“The new stores announced today have a strong international presence and are tested and attractive concepts to the market. The two seasonal concepts, the wine shop and the bookstore, will be open for a defined period of time starting in November,” he said.
