Aon scholarship application deadline nears

Aon plc, a risk management, brokerage, reinsurance, and human resources consulting and outsourcing services firm, is inviting students to participate in its call for the Aon Scholarship Fund for Talented Students through the Puerto Rico Community Fund (FCPR, by its Spanish acronym). The outreach effort closes May 1, 2015.
The scholarship program provides supplementary aid to give students with economic limitations the opportunity to engage in conferences, seminars, special courses, or student exchange programs, may they be scientific, educational or cultural, that are related to their educational and professional development.
“We reaffirm our social commitment with our youth, the future leaders of Puerto Rico. It is in our best interest to contribute to their professional development and offer them supportive tools for their education, a vital element to face the future with a clear vision and a high level of self-esteem,” said Manuel Bermúdez, president of Aon in Puerto Rico.
“As part of our commitment with our community we contribute to the growth of [island],” Bermúdez added.
The Aon Scholarship Fund is interested in promoting the integrated development of our youth. In the same vein, develop the talent, knowledge, and leadership of Puerto Rico students that have economic needs and excel academically. The economic incentive is as much as $1,500 per student.
