PREPA overhauls website, adds new sections
PREPA’s revamped website.
The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority unveiled Monday its revamped sitio web, as part of its strategy to improve customer service and increase its transparency before the public, agency Executive Director Juan Alicea said.
“The online site and its new design will allow us to comply with the government’s public policy and our strategic corporate plan,” Alicea said. “Meanwhile, it will be part of the programs we’ve rolled out to provide users a complete and efficient tool that addresses their needs for service and information.”
The site includes new sections such as: the strategic corporate plan, new Governing Board page, a page for information and confidential tips on energy theft, as well as information about renewable energy, fuel and energy purchases, among others.
Meanwhile, the site has been redesigned to promote more agile customer service, including sections that customers may access from any platform to report outages, service requests, online certifications and forms, maps of areas experiencing service interruptions, news and others. Customers can also still pay their bills online.
The website will also be used to broadcast live Governing Board meetings so the public can have first-hand access to information without intermediaries, Alicea said.
