Kmart Pharmacy taking Triple-S insurance for flu shots

Triple-S prescription plan members can get their shots and other immunizations covered at Kmart pharmacies, which on Monday announced the program that will be offered on a permanent basis.
In addition to flu shots, Kmart Pharmacy also offers the following vaccinations: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, pneumonia, shingles, tetanus and diphtheria, whooping cough and more.
Kmart’s immunization program has pharmacists licensed by the Puerto Rico Pharmacy Examining Board, who can provide free immunization screenings as they are trained to administer and recommend vaccines based on patient needs, the retailer said.
“Keeping the family healthy is a priority for Kmart Pharmacy. With this in mind, we continue working to facilitate all kinds of programs that can bring wellness to the Puerto Rican family,” said Noel Santiago, pharmacy director, Kmart Puerto Rico.
“Prevention is very important and therefore having the vaccines up-to-date is crucial,” he said.
Immunizations are available at all Puerto Rico Kmart locations Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. No appointment is needed to get vaccinated.
