Puerto Rican products to take part in Miami exhibit
This is the fourth year that Puerto Rico Trade has joined forces with the Department of Agriculture and Rums of Puerto Rico to participate in this important event. In last year’s edition, the participating companies reported $3.5 million in sales.
A delegation of 13 Puerto Rican companies will exhibit their products at the Americas Food & Beverages Show event, which will take place Oct. 27-28 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, said Puerto Rico Trade and Export Executive Director Francisco Chévere on Monday.
“The Florida market is one of the most important for Puerto Rican companies in the food and beverage sector, due to the high concentration of Hispanics,” he said. “The opportunities offered by international trade fairs such as the Americas Food & Beverage Show help establish business relationships with major buyers and thus promote the penetration of our companies in international trade.”
The companies slated to take part in the upcoming event are: Café Lucero, Destilería Coquí, Destilería Cruz, Doña Yiya Foods, Dulce del Campo, Empresas Norhem, Flor de Mar, Indulac, Molinos de Puerto Rico, Practical Food Solutions, Productos La Finca, Puerto Rico Supplies and Sofrito Doña Tere.

Companies will have the opportunity to exhibit, give tastings and sell their products, and to establish new contacts to tap into the U.S. mainland Hispanic market. Hundreds of exhibitors from more than 27 countries around the world participate in this fair, which expects an attendance of more than 10,000 participants.
