‘Recuerdos de mi vida’ TV show celebrates elderly life

The first episode of “Recuerdos de mi vida,” a half-hour weekly TV-show designed to cater to Puerto Rico’s senior population, made its debut this weekend, producers announced.
The show airs Sundays at 6 p.m. on America Teve, and will repeat Mondays at 9 a.m. and Wednesday at 10 a.m. on Vive TV.
“Recuerdos de mi vida” is the pet project of known TV Director and Producer Felipe Rivera, a veteran in the local TV industry, with more than 30 years of experience directing and producing TV shows, commercials, documentaries, infomercials, and many other media products and services.
Rivera identified a niche in local TV programming that was not being attended, with many TV shows aimed at adults, young adults and children. Yet, the golden years sector of the audience lacked a local production specially intended for them and their needs, he said.
In “Recuerdos de mi vida” the viewer will enjoy interventions by health care professionals, human interest stories, reports covering topics ranging anywhere from antiques, vintage cars, old music, but, most importantly, interviews of seniors with diverse backgrounds.
“A variety of anecdotes and storytelling conversations with regular folks will delight audiences of all ages, but will be appreciated most by our older-aged friends: TV for them by them,” Rivera said.
This show also seeks to be the ideal vehicle to advertise products and services targeting the island’s senior population.
Aside from launching the new TV show, Rivera also announced the start of operations of his new independent TV ads production house, DeMente Group. This new business will provide creative, quality advertising and TV commercial production services, at affordable prices. A talent agency and special events division will soon be added to the services now available.
